Uzbekistan took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, for the fourth time in its history, and won one gold, three bronze and two silver medals. The national team was represented by 56 athletes, including 15 women.

After rechecking the doping samples of the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, the IOC deprived the freestyle wrestler Arthur Taymazov of the Beijing Gold Medal [1] .
