Nurfall-Hierringøy is a former commune in the county of Nordland , Norway .
It was formed when the community of Folden was divided into Nurfall-Hierringøy and Surfall on January 1, 1887. At that time, the Nurfall-Hierringøy population was 1,347. On January 1, 1894, the Movie Farm (30 inhabitants) was administratively transferred to Surfall .
The commune lasted until January 1, 1906, when it was divided into two: Nurfall and Hierringøy . Before the division, the population of the commune was 2,342 people.
