The Swiss Literary Archive ( German: Schweizerisches Literaturarchiv ) in Bern collects literary works in all national languages of Switzerland ( German , French , Italian , Romansh ). It is part of the Swiss National Library and is located in its building.

The archive was created in 1991 , according to the last will of the writer Friedrich Dürrenmatt (1921-1990), who bequeathed his literary heritage to the state, provided that it creates the National Archive for Literature .
