Semna is a commune in the Nordland County in Norway . It is part of the Helgeland region. The administrative center of Semna is the village of Vic (also the name Vic and Helgeland is used (Vic in Helgeland)). There are three more communities in the commune: Dalbotn, Sund and Berg.

The commune of Semna (called Vick until 1941) was separated from the commune of Brennoy on January 1, 1901. On January 1, 1964, it was again united with the commune of Brennoy , and then again separated on January 1, 1977.
Content
Geography and History
The commune borders the Brennoy commune by land, the Bindal commune in the south and east has a common border on the sea. Semyon consists mainly of the vast Strandflaten lowland (coastal region) and is one of several communes in Norway in which farmers still grow grain . The oldest remains of a boat ever discovered in Norway (2500 years ago in Haugvikbåten ) were found in a swamp in Semna.

The Old Norwegian name for the commune was probably Søfn . The meaning of the name is unknown.
Coat of Arms
The commune has a modern coat of arms. It was adopted on June 14, 1988. The coat of arms depicts three combined clover leaves on a red background. The emblem symbolizes the unity of agriculture , culture and prosperity of the commune. [one]
