Nilova Pustyn ( drill. Turaanai haluun arshaan [1] - “ Turan hot arshan (source) ”) is a balneological resort area in Russia in the village of Nilovka ( Tunkinsky district of Buryatia ).
As a resort known since 1840 . It is located in the southern spurs of the East Sayan (41 km from the village of Kyren , 150 km from the Slyudyanka railway station) at an altitude of 915 m in the valley of the Ihe-Ukhgun River (left tributary of the Irkut ).
In 1845 , after visiting the source, the Archbishop of Irkutsk and Nerchinsky Nile (Isakovich) wished to create a monastery for the monks, the so-called deserts , hence the name of the resort.
There is a radon source with thermal (41 ° C ) mineral water . The source water is unsuitable for ingestion, as it contains a lot of silicic acid and fluorine , but is effectively used to treat skin diseases and joint diseases.

I. Diseases of the musculoskeletal system:
- Ankylosing spondylitis - spondylitis;

- rheumatoid arthritis in the inactive phase with the possibility of self-care;
- arthrosis and arthropathy associated with other diseases;
- arthritis of traumatic origin;
- Reiter's syndrome;
- myalgia, myositis, bursitis, tenosynovitis: infectious, toxic, occupational, traumatic;
- epicondylitis;
- contractures: arthrogenic, Dupuytren, traumatic, burn, myogenic;
- osteomyelitis that does not require surgical intervention.
II. Diseases and disorders of the central nervous system:
- neurosis, including professional genesis;
- toxic encephalopathy;
- vibration disease (Art. I — III) from local and combined vibration, accompanied by Raynaud's syndrome, autonomic * polyneuritis and muscle disorders;
- neurasthenia;
- autonomic dysfunctions caused by infection, intoxication, endocrine disorders;
- encephalitis, arachnoiditis at the end of the period in the presence of an ongoing restoration of functions;
the long-term consequences of traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injuries, not accompanied by sharp violations in the motor sphere and epileptiform seizures;
- condition after discectomy for hernias of the intervertebral discs (6 months after surgery);
- residual effects of childhood polio;
- Cerebral palsy (cerebral palsy).
III. Diseases of the peripheral nervous system:
- radiculitis of various localization;
- polyneuritis;
- residual effects of injuries of the peripheral nervous system that do not require surgical intervention, and after it - in the presence of signs of recovery functions.
IV. Cardiovascular diseases:
- hypertension 1-And stage A without crises;
- rheumatism in the inactive phase; defects of the mitral valves with circulatory disorders not higher than 1 degree;
- IHD (coronary heart disease);
- obliterating atherosclerosis with a chronic course and regional ischemia of the 1st-2nd degree;
- chronic venous insufficiency without pronounced trophic disorders.
V. Gynecological diseases:
- chronic adnexitis;
- endometritis;
- uterine fibroids no more than 10 weeks. pregnancy size, without a tendency to rapid growth and bleeding;
- infertility resulting from inflammatory diseases of the uterus, tubes, ovaries, as well as with congenital underdevelopment of the uterus;
- cervical erosion, colpitis.
VI. Male reproductive system diseases:
- chronic prostatitis; orchitis;
- potency disorders against inflammatory diseases and functional diseases of the nervous system.
VII. Skin diseases:

Radon therapy is indicated for children from 5-7 years of age. The conclusion on the need for spa treatment with occupational diseases is issued by the State Service for Medical and Social Expertise (MSEC) taking into account the recommendations of the center for occupational pathology.
Contraindications
- all diseases in the acute stage, chronic diseases in the acute stage and complicated by acute processes;
- acute infectious diseases before the end of the isolation period;
- all sexually transmitted diseases in acute or infectious form;
- mental illness: all forms of drug addiction and chronic alcoholism, epilepsy;
- all blood diseases in the acute stage;
- cachexia of any origin;
- malignant neoplasms;
- all conditions and diseases requiring inpatient treatment, including surgical intervention;
- all diseases in which patients are not capable of independent movement and self-care;
- frequently recurring and heavy bleeding;
- pregnancy at all times;
- all forms of tuberculosis in the active stage.
