Birth name

In History of Augustus , Celsus is a private individual, and in the past stands , he lived on his estates in Africa . For justice and growth, he was proclaimed emperor by the Africans at the suggestion of the African proconsul Vibi Passien and Libyan commander-in-chief Fabius Pomponian and was dressed in the clothes of the goddess Celestine.

It is reported that Celsus, after seven days of reign, was killed by a certain Gallienne, cousin of the emperor Gallien , and that his body was thrown to the dogs for eating by the inhabitants of Sikki. The rebellion and the people are most likely fictitious, just like the rebellion of Saturninus .
