Langøya [1] [2] ( Norwegian Langøya ) is the third largest island in Norway (excluding the islands of the Svalbard archipelago), covers an area of 850.2 km² [3] . It is part of the Westerolen region, located in the Nordland County in the north of Hinnoya Island. The narrow strait of Sortlandssundet divides the two islands: Langoya and Hinnoya. A kilometer-long Sortlandsbrua bridge is thrown across the strait. On the island there is a commune of Beu and partially communes of Exnes , Sortland and Hudsel . There are several lakes on the island, for example, Alsvogvatnet lake.
