Langenes (Nordland)

Langenes is a former commune in the county of Nordland , Norway . It was formed by the separation from the municipality of Aksnes on July 1, 1919 and at that time the population of the commune was 1,085 inhabitants.

On January 1, 1963, the Holmgrend district with a population of 65 people was attached to the commune of Sortland . On January 1, 1964, the remainder of Langenes, numbering 2,037 inhabitants, was reunited with the municipality of Exnes .
