Vladimir Yurievich Plotnikov (born July 5, 1943 ) is a Soviet and Russian diplomat , Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Indonesia and a number of neighboring states concurrently ( 2000 - 2004 ) and to the Lao People's Democratic Republic ( 2007 - 2010 ). At diplomatic work from 1967 to 2010.

Biography
Born July 5, 1943 in Moscow. In 1967 he graduated from the Faculty of International Relations of the MGIMO of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs , in 1982 - from the Diplomatic Academy of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs . He speaks Indonesian , English and French .
He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR in 1967. He held various positions in the central apparatus of the Ministry and abroad.

- In 1971 - 1973 - Attache of the Second Far Eastern Department of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Married to Kuntysh, Lyudmila Mikhailovna, since May 2013 she has been the representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in Laos [8] .
