During the eleventh expedition, maintenance and unloading work was carried out for the TKG Progress (M-52, M-53, M-54), Soyuz ( Soyuz TMA-5 : loading and undocking; TMA-6 : unloading and reloading from the Pirs docking module compartment (СО1) to the Zarya functional cargo block ; TMA-7 : docking and Space shuttle ( STS-114 Discovery : docking and unloading of the external storage platform ESP-2 delivered to the ISS). Scientific research and experiments were conducted on the Russian and American programs, including 91 sessions on 23 experiments of the ISM Eneida project, which was included in the tasks of the crew visiting EP-8 [3] . Upon completion, the station was transferred to the crew of the 12th main expedition .

Gregory Olsen (1), a participant in the flight ( American businessman and fifth space tourist ), who arrived at the station as part of the Soyuz TMA-7 crew, returned to Earth as part of the Soyuz TMA-6 crew.

Spacewalks
During the 10th main expedition, Sergey Krikalev and John Phillips made one of two planned EVAs from the docking compartment module Pirs (СО1) . The exit was completed on August 18 , from 19:02 to 23:59, with a total duration of 4 hours 58 minutes. Main goals:
- Removal of container No. 1 of the Biorisk-MSN equipment from the Pier module;
- Dismantling panel No. 3 of MPAC & SEED equipment and the anthropomorphic phantom Matryoshka-E;
- Installing a backup camera and replacing the removable cassette-container SKK No. 3-SM with SKK No. 5-SM on the Zvezda service module .
