Location

Scott Kelty Island is located in the central part of the archipelago, 2.5 kilometers west of Cape Sedova on Hooker Island . Islands are separated by the Strait of Mellenius

Description

The island has an elongated shape with a length of 7.5 kilometers and a width of up to 4 kilometers in the central part. The highest point of the island is only 64 meters and the height of the island itself does not exceed 30 meters and only the rock on the eastern end of the island rises above the rest of the island to a height of 64 meters. Most of the island is covered with ice, closer to the coast - low snowfields . Low cliffs are located in the east of the island and along the southeast coast, extensive sandstones and pebbles are located in the western part, and rocky placers are scattered along the north and southwest coast. Two streams, 3.5 and 2 kilometers long, flow down from the central glacier to the west coast. In the east of the island lies a small lake and two more - in the western part.
