Malinska is an important center of international tourism in Croatia. 12 and 15 km north of Malinska, respectively, are the airport of Rijeka and the bridge between the continent and the island of Krk . The city of Krk is located 12 km to the south.
Every year, on July 23, the traditional “Malinsky night” ( Croatian Malinskarska noć ) is held - the day of the municipality and the feast of St. Apollinaria , patron of the parish and village.
The parish church of St. Apollinaria is located in the vicinity of Bogovici. Built in the 19th century , dominates Malinska. The new chapel of St. Nicholas in the center of the port was consecrated in 2000 .
