Weierbars (from the English wire ' wire ' and bar ' ingot ') - a workpiece made of electrolyzed ( refined ) copper or aluminum , usually used for the manufacture of wire by rolling . It can be manufactured in the form of trapezoidal castings of 85 kg or continuously cast with a weight of up to 1 t . Requirements for electrical conductivity - a stretched and annealed wire 1 km long and a cross-sectional area of 1 mm 2 at 20 ° C should have a resistance of not more than 17.48 Ohm [1] .
