Biography

Club career

In 1994, he began to play for the Simferopol Tavria . He made his debut in the Premier League on April 16, 1994 in a match against Kremenchug Flint (1-0) [2] . In the 1993/94 season he became a finalist of the Cup of Ukraine , and in the 1994/95 season a semi-finalist of the Cup. In Tavria, Gennady Kundenok became the main player, playing in a team with his brother Alexander . He spent the second half of the 2000/01 season in the Armenian “ Titan ”, the club played in the Second League of Ukraine . In the summer of 2001 he returned to Tavria and played 3 games in the Intertoto Cup against the Bulgarian Spartak from Varna and the French Paris Saint-Germain . In the summer of 2002, he moved to the newly created Sevastopol club, where Valery Petrov was a coach. In 2003, he played for Ivano-Frankivsk Prikarpatye for six months, and then again played for Sevastopol. In the winter of 2004, he moved to Krymteplitsa from Molodezhny. He became the main player in the team; in the winter of 2005, he ended his career as a player.

Team Career

Gennady Kundenok took part in the qualification for the European Youth Championship 1996 in Spain. He played 3 matches and scored 1 goal ( Estonian team ) for the Ukrainian youth team under 21 years old .

Coach Career

After the completion of his playing career, he began to train in Dynamo Dynamo-97 in Simferopol [3] .

Since 2014, he has been working as a children's coach at the TSK club [4] .

Personal life

He graduated from the Crimean branch of Zaporizhzhya University [3] . His brother Alexander also played football professionally.
