Copa del Sol (from Spanish - “Cup of the Sun”) is an international football tournament among the teams of northeastern Europe , played in Spain . The tournament is held during the winter break in the north-eastern European championships and is designed to prepare the team for the continuation of the season. The tournament is organized by the Swedish Football Association .

Venue
The tournament is held in the autonomous community of Murcia on the Mediterranean coast . The games use the La Manga football fields in the vicinity of Cartagena and the Pinatar Arena in San Javier , accommodating a small number of spectators. Teams, as a rule, are located in the resort complex "La Manga Club", in the territory of which the year-round Professional Football Center is located.
Rules
- The tournament is held according to the Olympic system .
- The tournament is attended by 16 teams.
- The duration of the match is 90 minutes. In the event of a tie after 90 minutes of the match, a penalty shootout is held .
- A player who receives two yellow cards in two different matches misses the next game. A player who receives two yellow or one red card in one match is removed from the field and misses the next game.
- The disciplinary committee may impose additional sanctions on the player.

The tournament prize pool is SEK 2 million:
- 1st place - 600,000 kroons;
- 2nd place - 400,000 kroons;
- 3rd place - 250,000 kroons;
- 4th place - 200,000 kroons;
- 5th place - 170,000 kroons;
- 6th place - 150,000 kroons;
- 7th place - 130,000 kroons;
- 8th place - 100,000 kroons.
