Biography
Daria instilled a love of sports and outdoor activities with dad, who took his daughter to the pool and gymnastics , however, for a long time she could not decide on the sport. At school she was engaged in dancing , singing and embroidery . But in the eighth grade, she started shooting:
And already, when I was in class, in my opinion, in the 8th I just decided for myself to go to the shooting section. At first, no one thought that it would be possible to reach a high level, because they begin to engage in shooting a year or two earlier than me. But a year later, I began to show the first results and I was invited to study at the Kherson Sports School of the Olympic Reserve . Next was the junior team of Ukraine - in the 11th grade, I first went to the European Championship. Therefore, for some three years I have reached a good level. It turned out that shooting is really mine. [2]
Currently, Daria Shitko is a member of the national team of Ukraine. Trained by Nina Maslova . [one]

Merit
- The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine recognized Daria Shitko as the best athlete of July Ukraine in 2009. The NOC Prize and a diploma were presented by the President of the NOC of Ukraine Sergey Bubka .
- The Shooting Federation of Ukraine and its coaching council named Daria Shitko (Tikhova) the best athlete of the FSU in May and September 2009.
