Vladimir Ivanovich Ivanov ( March 11 [23], 1893 , Tula , Russian Empire - March 15, 1938 , Moscow , RSFSR ) - Soviet party and statesman, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Uzbekistan (1925-1927), first secretary of the Northern Regional Committee VKP (b) (1931-1937).

Biography

Born in the family of a blacksmith. In 1909-1910 - a participant in the strikes of high school students. Since 1912 - an activist of the student social democratic movement. In 1916 he was arrested for several days for participating in student circles.

In 1918 he graduated from the Medical Faculty of Moscow University .

Member of the RSDLP since 1915, Bolshevik . In February-July 1917 - Secretary of the Khamovniki District Committee of the RSDLP (b) in Moscow. In 1917-1918 and during the October Revolution , he was a member of the Military Revolutionary Committee and the headquarters of the Red Guard of the Basmanny district , the secretary of the Basmanny RK of the CPSU (b) of Moscow. Since 1917 - a member of the Presidium of the Moscow Soviet, since 1918 - a member of the MK VKP (b).

In August-October 1918 - Chairman of the Kamyshin County Extraordinary Commission . In 1918-1919 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Kamyshin County Council.

In September-November 1919 - member of the Revolutionary Military Council of the Ferghana Front in the Turkestan ASSR .

In 1919-1920, he was the responsible organizer of the Basmanny District Committee of the RCP (b) in Moscow. In 1920-1921 - Executive Secretary of the Yaroslavl Provincial Committee of the RCP (B.). In 1921-1924 - Deputy Head, Head of the Organizational Department of the Moscow Committee of the RCP (B.).

In May-October 1924 - Chairman of the Moscow Control Commission of the RCP (B.), Head of the Moscow Workers and Peasants Inspectorate . Member of the Central Control Commission of the RCP (b) , candidate member of the Presidium of the Central Control Commission of the RCP (b) (1924-1925).

Since October 1924 - Chairman of the Organizing Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPSU (B.) In the Uzbek SSR. In 1924-1925, he was the first secretary of the Provisional Organizational Bureau of the Communist Party (b) of Uzbekistan, in 1925-1927, the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Uzbekistan. Member of the Revolutionary Committee of the Uzbek SSR (1924-1925).

In 1927-1931 - second secretary of the North Caucasus Regional Committee of the CPSU (b). In 1931-1937 - the first secretary of the Northern Regional Committee of the CPSU (b).

In 1936-1937 - People's Commissar of the USSR forest industry.

Member of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b) (1934-1937). Candidate member of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b) (1925-1934).

On November 1, 1937 he was arrested and charged in the case of the "Anti-Soviet Right-Trotskyist Bloc." He pleaded guilty to organizing in 1928 kulak uprisings in the Caucasus , wrecking , sabotage and treason . March 13, 1938 was sentenced to capital punishment. He was shot in Moscow on March 15, 1938.

He was posthumously rehabilitated in June 1959 .
