Hockey Federation of the Republic of Belarus

The Ice Hockey Federation of the Republic of Belarus ( Belorussian. Federatsiya hockey of the Republic of Belarus ) is an organization that conducts ice hockey competitions in Belarus. He is the assignee of the Hockey Federation of the Belarusian SSR, founded in 1959. Founded March 6, 1992 , a member of the IIHF since May 6, 1992 . Since June 28, 2018, the Chairman is Gennady Savilov [1] .

The Hockey Federation holds the Open (International) Championship of Belarus . The championship structure includes the extra-league of professional hockey teams, the major league , in which the farm clubs of extra-league teams play, the junior league , as well as the youth league championships in seven age groups. In addition to Belarusian teams, teams from Latvia and Ukraine participate in the championship, as well as from Lithuania in junior and youth championships.

On March 12, 2015, an extraordinary conference of the Hockey Federation of the Republic of Belarus was held in Minsk. It adopted a preliminary version of the updated logo. The logo used elements of national ornament, as well as images of two crossed clubs and washers [2] . On April 28, 2015, the Executive Committee of the Hockey Federation of the Republic of Belarus approved a new logo, which was the first step in the framework of the general rebranding [3] [4] .
