History
The idea of creating A.A. Ukhtomsky's house-museum in the city of Rybinsk was born back in the 1950s, when materials from the Ukhtomsky student A.V. Matskevich and a friend of the Ukhtomsky family A.V. Berzina came to the Rybinsk Museum of History and Art . In subsequent years, the collection was substantially replenished with interesting exhibits and materials received from E. A. Makarova, which consisted in a friendly correspondence with Alexei Alekseevich; G. G. Kharchenko - the daughter of A. V. Berzina; N.V. Makarova - granddaughters of B.N. Melentyev, a friend of Ukhtomsky's youth; V.V. Melentyev - a distant relative of A.A. Ukhtomsky; from the students of A.A. Ukhtomsky - F.P. Nekrylov and V.L. Balakshina.
A great contribution to the creation of the museum was made by the staff of the Academician A. A. Ukhtomsky Physiological Research Institute at St. Petersburg State University - Professor A. S. Batuev (scientific adviser to the house-museum) and research associate L. V. Sokolova; employees of the Rybinsk historical-architectural and art museum-reserve , city enthusiasts, active advocates of the Ukhtomsky heritage L.R. Varushchenko, L.M. Marasinova, N.V. Suslov, S.M. Badayev and many others.
The restoration and reconstruction of the memorial house-museum of Academician A.A. Ukhtomsky was carried out by a group of enthusiasts consisting of V.A. Kuznetsov, S.M. Matyukhinsky, I.P. Makarov, V.M. M., Kosareva A. A. .. Dodonova V.V., Kozyreva L. B. at the expense of the Polygraphmash production association.
Exposition
The exposition of the house-museum acquaints visitors with the history of the ancient family of the princes of Ukhtomsky and one of its prominent representatives - the Russian physiologist, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences A. A. Ukhtomsky ( 1875 - 1942 ).
The museum presents the main scientific works, as well as social and religious views of the scientist. Particular attention is paid to his doctrine of the dominant , anticipating the discovery of humanistic psychology.
In one of the halls of the museum, according to the memoirs of A. A. Ukhtomsky about childhood, the interior of the living room is recreated, in another hall - the study of a scientist at the Research Physiological Institute in Leningrad . Of particular interest is the collection of books from the personal library of A. A. Ukhtomsky - many volumes have handwritten notes by a scientist about the ideas or views expressed in them.
The house-museum is a scientific and methodological center for the development and implementation of the social and moral ideas of A. A. Ukhtomsky in the programs of educational institutions of the city of Rybinsk .
