  • James Dewar managed to get liquid hydrogen
  • Uncompressed high pressure oil engine : Gustav Trinkler .

  • Ethnographer A. N. Shimanovsky completed the collection “Minsk province and its folk art in connection with the description of folk holidays and ceremonies.”

  • Lomonosov Prize [1] :
    NI Andrusov for the study of fossils and living mollusks of the dreissenside family and a complete set of information on Neogene deposits in southern Russia and Europe, which were important for studying deposits of the Cenozoic group [2] .
    EF Burinsky for the original research method, equal to the value of the microscope, which allowed to increase the contrast of the image, and, specifically, for revealing the text of valuable historical documents [3] .
    P. I. Brownov for research and explanation of atmospheric phenomena considered as a system of vortex movements [4] .
