Person of the Year MusiCares

Person of the Year MusiCares is an annual award given by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences , the same organization that gives the Grammy Music Award . The name of the award reflects the name of the charity non-profit organization MusiCares , established by the academy to "provide medical assistance to the needy musician." Presentation of the award takes place during the “Grammy Week” with a tribute concert, which helps to raise money for the fund.
