Content
Geography
The village is located 20 km southwest of the regional center Nozhai-Yurt and 70 km southeast of the city of Grozny .
The nearest settlements: in the north - the village of Gansolchu , in the northeast - the villages of Turty-Khutor and Isai-Yurt , in the east - the village of Shuani , in the south - the villages of Bas-Gordali and Gordali , in the south-west - the village of Khashki-Mokhk , in the west - the village of Enikali and in the north-west - the village of Yalkhoi-Mokhk [4] .
History
In 1944, after the deportation of Chechens and Ingush , and the abolition of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, the village of Small Shuany [5] was renamed Malaya Shagada and settled by immigrants from neighboring Dagestan [6] .
After the restoration of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, the village was returned to its former name - Small Shuani, and the Dagestanis were resettled back to Dagestan.
In the mid-1980s, the village was again renamed, received the name Charoyn-Mokhk [7] . In the mid-1990s, the village was returned to its former name.
