Loch Conn ( irl. Loch Con ) - a freshwater lake in the west of Ireland in the county of Mayo . It is connected with the help of the river Moi flowing out of the reservoir with the lake Loch Kullin and the Atlantic Ocean .

Lough Conn is known for its habitat and spawning large numbers of trout , pike and salmon . Fishing is very developed here.
Among the locals there is a legend about the origin of the lake. According to her, one of the heroes of the Celtic myths, Finn Mac Kumal, had two dogs - Conn and Cullin. Once, on a hunt, Finn stepped on a wild boar and the dogs rushed after the beast. From the blows of the boar's feet on the ground every time water appeared. The chase lasted for several days, and by that time a whole lake had already formed in the forest. As a result, Conn drowned, and the boar swam to the shore.
