The flag of the municipality “ Vichuga City District ” of the Ivanovo Region of the Russian Federation is an identification mark serving as the official symbol of the municipality.

The flag was approved on May 28, 2009 [1] and entered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with assignment of registration number 5704.
Description
“A rectangular red cloth with a ratio of width to length 2: 3, reproducing in the center the main figures from the arms of the composition: in a scarlet (red) field there is a winding golden ribbon, the ends of which are threaded into the laidto the right is a white weaving shuttle. ”
Symbols
The flag is designed based on the coat of arms of the Vichuga urban district.
The main figures of the flag - a shuttle and a fabric ribbon - mean that the Vichuga urban district is a major center for the textile industry, which received city status in 1925 as a result of the unification of the three villages of Tezino, Bonyachki, Golchikha, which developed in the 18th-19th centuries.
The red color of the banner symbolizes the labor and military traditions of the Vichuzhans, known throughout the country for the labor feat of Evdokia and Maria Vinogradov, who set a record in the city of Vichuga for labor productivity in the textile industry in the thirties of the XX century, which complements the content of the flag.
Red color is a symbol of courage, dedication, beauty and life.
White color ( silver ) is a symbol of simplicity, perfection, wisdom, nobleness, peace, cooperation.
Yellow color ( gold ) is a symbol of strength, wealth, greatness, justice and generosity.
