Askhal Akhmat-Khuzh ( Bashk. Әskhәl Әkhmәt-Khuzh, real name Askhal Abutalipovich Akhmetkuzhin ; June 24, 1942 - November 8, 2018 [1] ) is a Bashkir poet and translator. Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation ( 2002 ).

Biography
He graduated from Sterlitamak Pedagogical Institute . Since 1965 he worked in the editorial office of the magazine "Agidel", in the apparatus of the Union of Writers. He graduated from the Higher Literary Courses in Moscow.
Askhal Akhmat-Khuzh began to write actively in the early 1960s . In 1958 he wrote the first poems "Day of Joy." The first poetry collection of the young poet "The Horseman" was published in 1968. The books “Horse racing” (1973), “Cry” (1980), “Arena” (1992).
Translated into the Bashkir language the works of poets S. Rustaveli , E. Mezhelaitis , R. Gamzatov , D. Kugultinov (collection "Pearls", 1982).
Askhal Ahmet-Khuzh also writes for children, being the author of children's books “The Lamb”, “The Pestle-Cow”, “Azamat and the Little Hare”, “Kindergarten”, “Flower Garden”. [2]
The author of more than 30 poetry collections and translations.
