ATB Market

The history of the network began in 1993 with six grocery stores in Dnepropetrovsk. Now the company is owned in equal shares by three Dnepropetrovsk businessmen: the founders of the Agrotechbusiness group - Gennady Butkevich , Yevgeny Ermakov and Viktor Karachun.

In 1998, management decided to introduce a self-service system in stores. In 2001, Soviet-style stores were reformatted to supermarkets and called ATB. Since then, the company has positioned itself as a network of discounters - stores with a wide range of goods at prices below average market prices.

“ATB-Market” is the most dynamically developing retail network in Ukraine over the past five years ^[1] . Since the outbreak of hostilities in the territory of Donbass , which entailed the loss of 152 outlets (the total loss is estimated at UAH 7 billion) ^[2] , ATB opened more than 120 new stores, which is still less than before the military conflict. According to research agencies, the chain is the largest retail chain in Ukraine and has more than 900 stores in 248 settlements in 22 regions of Ukraine. More than 3 million people shop here daily. In 2017, the network's turnover amounted to 80.2 billion UAH.

The network was included in the twenty largest taxpayers of the country (becoming the only representative of retail trade in this list), the amount of taxes paid by ATB Market LLC in 2017 amounted to 4.7 billion UAH.

The assortment of stores comprises about 4000 products, of which 750 are products of our own brands.

In 2014, in connection with the Crimean crisis , the company re-registered in the territory of the Krasnodar Territory and continued to work in the territory of the Republic of Crimea, thus becoming an international company. ^{[3] [4]} In Crimea, stores changed their name to "PUD", which stands for "Products at home." ^[5] In 2017, Crimean stores were purchased by the Krasnodar agricultural complex named after N. I. Tkachev ^[6] .

On the territory of the unrecognized DPR and LPR, on the basis of the former ATB stores, own retail chains “First Republican Supermarket” and “Narodniy” Supermarket, respectively, were created .

The assortment of stores comprises more than 3,500 items of food and non-food products, of which more than 800 represent ATB's own brands . By minimizing the costs of logistics and advertising, the cost of such products is below the average market.

According to the SFS, in 2018, the ATB network more than doubled the amount of taxes paid to UAH 8.5 million. and today it is one of the largest taxpayers. The SFS also noted that the Association of Tax Payers of Ukraine recognized ATB-Market LLC as the winner of the regional tour in the nomination “Conscientious tax payer in the field of trade” ^[7] . At present, more than 55 thousand employees are officially employed in the ATB chain of stores. The cost of the company is estimated at $ 2500 million

The ATB network was often accused of violating the rules of trade ^[8] . There are reports of the sale of expired goods, products with insects, etc. ^{[9] [10]} . Users post on Youtube videos about the incorrect behavior of staff ^{[11] [12]} . Group of companies S.Group (“Clean Planet”, “Prodexport-2009”, “SnackExport”, “UMaK”) won a number of lawsuits against ATB Corporation in the Commercial Court of Kiev ^[13] . In 2015, the supplier of Investcom Plus products filed a lawsuit against ATB demanding to pay 110 million UAH for the delivered goods. ^[14] . The Chernihiv site reports an incident in Kiselevka - two packets of things were stolen from a woman in a storage room ^[15] .
