Shi Deyang

Shi Deyang (worldly name Shi Fanfeng ) is a 31st generation Shaolin monk, a famous Chinese martial artist , one of the most experienced and illustrious carriers of Shaolin wushu technique. Born in 1967 in the province of Henan in Taikan County, he began studying with Shi Dechan , under his influence he went to the monastery in 1983 and received monastic tonsure in Shaolin Shi , became a student of one of the most famous monks in the history of Shaolin Shi , rector of Shi Susi . Under his leadership, he studied monastic practices, meditation, practice and Wushu theory, and then became the closest student to "take patra and cassock" Shi Sushi, that is, the official head of the traditional Shaolin school. He taught Shaolin Wushu technique directly from Shi Sushi Deyang. It was Shi Sushi who gave him the traditional forms of Wushu, such as Lohanquan, Dahongquan, the fight with the Shaolin pole and other techniques.

In the early 90's. Deyang was a senior trainer at the Shaolin Academy Wushu Academy, located in the administrative center of Dengfeng County, led by Deqian (a worldly name of Wang Changqing, a former novice of Shaolin).

Shi Deyang holds open seminars in the USA , Italy and Hungary , but he rarely accepts anyone as his direct student. Since childhood, lives in the Shaolin Monastery.

A master of calligraphy , writes poetry in a traditional style, many of his works are officially recognized as “the most valuable achievement of traditional culture”. He traveled with his lectures, sermons and speeches from more than twenty countries of the world, is an official adviser to a number of foreign federations of traditional Wushu. He is the head coach of the preparatory team of fighter monks at the Shaolin Monastery. It is considered one of the most prominent living Shaolins monks, the bearer of the true Shaolins tradition. He strictly adheres to traditional forms of training, lifestyle and practices.
