Biography
He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Oriental Studies (1950). He worked in the journal " Soviet Sinology ."
In 1964-1991 he headed the sectors at the Institute of Asian Peoples , the Institute of Economics of the World Socialist System , the Institute of the Far East of the USSR Academy of Sciences ; in 1971-1988 - department at the Institute of the Far East; Since 1989, Chief Researcher at the Institute of Far Eastern Studies, RAS.
Honored Scientist of the RSFSR .
