Amrita ( Sk . अमृत , amṛta IAST , "immortal") - in Hindu mythology - the drink of the gods , making them immortal. The legend says that Amrita was obtained by churning the Milky Ocean ( ksirodamakhana ). The gods delivered Amrta Mohini .
As Georges Dumézil points out, the concept of amrita goes back to the Indo-European religion and ambrosia identically [1] .
