Many of Professor Maslov’s developments have been introduced into production, and a magnetizing device that provides a sinusoidal shape of the magnetic induction curve (magnetic field strength) , commercially available by industry , has become especially widespread.

His designs were awarded one silver and three bronze medals of VDNH

In 2007, the International Biographic Center publishing house published the fourth edition of the 2000 Outstanding Scholars of the 20th Century reference book, which included an article about Yu. N. Maslov.

Biography

After graduating from high school, Maslov Yu.N. in 1955 entered the electrical engineering department of the Gorky Polytechnic Institute . After graduating in 1960 with a degree in electrical engineering, for three years he has been working as a design engineer at one of Vladimir's enterprises.

From 1963 to 1983, he teaches at the Vladimir Polytechnic Institute , where he defends his dissertation, receives the academic title of associate professor, and from 1975 to 1983 he headed the department of electrical engineering and electro-radio measurements. Here he organizes a scientific school on the problem of "Testing magnetic materials in false magnetization reversal modes." The Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR confers on it the honorary title “Honored Inventor of the RSFSR” [3] for the introduction of copyright certificates and patents .

Since March 1983 , Yuri Nikolaevich has been working in Moscow at the invitation of the USSR Ministry of Electrotechnical Industry, where he continues to develop magnetic topics at the V. I. Lenin Moscow Electromechanical Plant as the chief designer of the project. In 1988 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Production tests of magnetic materials and systems in regulated magnetization reversal modes."

In 1989, Yu. N. Maslova was invited to work at the Moscow Technological Institute (now MGUS (RGUTiS)) as the head of the department of Automation of Management Production. From 1990 to 1995, simultaneously with the head of the department, Maslov Yu. N. served as vice-rector for scientific work at the Technological Institute. In the same period, Yuri Nikolayevich was awarded the academic title of professor and the title of full member of the International Academy of Informatization .

In June 2001, Yu. N. Maslov presented his developments at the International Automation Exhibition in Nuremberg , Germany . He organizes a scientific seminar on the problem "Modern means of controlling household appliances", the results of which are summarized under the scientific supervision of Yuri Nikolaevich in the form of annual glider scientific conferences with the release of materials, and I-IV scientific and technical conferences are held in international format. In 2007, the VIII Scientific and Technical Conference was held, which was the last conference prepared by Yuri Nikolaevich.

During his work at universities, Maslov Yu. N. gave lectures, conducted practical and laboratory classes in the following disciplines: “Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering”, “Electroradio Measurements”, “Electrical Engineering”, “Production Automation”, “Automation Elements”, “Metrology, Standardization” , certification ”,“ Introduction to the specialty “Service”, “Elements of information systems”. Yuri Nikolaevich graduated more than 150 specialists and engineers in various specialties. Fifteen future candidates of science who defended a thesis under his scientific supervision graduated from the scientific school of Professor Yu. N. Maslov, and he prepared five doctors of science.

He was buried in Moscow at the Nikolo-Arkhangelsk cemetery [4] .

Scientific Publications

The general list of scientific publications by Professor Yu. N. Maslov totals 450 works (the list of scientific publications includes a description of 65 inventions). The scientific articles of Yuri Nikolaevich were mainly published in the Materials of the International Conference and in such well-known magazines as “Electrical Engineering”, “Measuring Equipment”, “Sensors and Control Systems” [5] , etc., and were reprinted abroad.
