The fruiting bodies of Mutinus Ravenel reach a height of 5-8 cm and a width of about 1 cm in a mature state. They come from white oblong-ovoid formations 1-1.5 cm wide. The recipe for ocher-yellow to ginger-red, especially under the gleam . Gleb is olive-greenish, mucous. It emits an intense smell of carrion. Often, Mutinus Ravenel is confused with representatives of the species Mutinus elegans and Mutinus caninus .
Mutinus of Ravenel is a terrestrial saprotroph . It is rare in parks and gardens under deciduous, rarely coniferous trees. Fruit bodies appear from June to the end of September; inedible, not eaten.
