Pereslav-Zalessky province was formed as part of the Moscow province by decree of Peter I "On the device of the provinces and on the determination of the new rulers" in 1719 . The cities of Pereslavl-Zalessky and Rostov were included in the province. According to the revision of 1710, there were 28.4 thousand peasant households in the province [1] .
In November 1775, the division of provinces into provinces was canceled [2] .
