The plot of the game begins in 2001 during the war in Afghanistan and lasts until March 2002. The reconnaissance group of the US Navy special forces DEVGRU with the call sign "Neptune" was sent to meet with the Afghan informant Tariq ( English Tariq ), who has intelligence necessary for the CIA . The Neptune squad consists of four sailors with the following callsigns: Mom ( Eng. Mother ), Voodoo ( Eng. Voodoo ), Monk ( Eng. Preacher ) and Rabbit ( Eng. Rabbit ). In parallel with Neptune, a special unit of the US Army Delta , the call sign Wolves, operates in Afghanistan. Its composition: Panther ( Eng. Panther ), commander of the "Wolves", Vegas ( Eng. In addition to them, the main character is the ranger of the 1st battalion Dante Adams from the quick reaction group (QRF).
The plot of the game is based on real events that occurred during Operation Anaconda on Mount Takur-Gar : one “ fur seal ”, three rangers from the quick reaction group (QRF), one parajumper and “combat controller” of the US Air Force were killed, as well as a member crew of the 160th Special Operations Regiment of the United States.
Solo Campaign
The entire single player campaign of the game is divided into 3 acts. However, each mission of the game flows into another smoothly and sometimes unnoticed by the player.
Introduction
1st act: “Introduction”, consists of two simple missions preceding the main events of the game. This act introduces the player to the Neptune squad and its fighters. It all starts with the fact that the hero of the game enters the city of Gardez by truck. There, an endless confrontation between his detachment and the Taliban forces and Chechen terrorists ensues. In search of Tariq, the hero is repeatedly ambushed by the enemy. In the end, he finds Tarik, who talks about the location of the main forces of the Taliban. The next day, along with the militias, the player’s character participates in a massive attack on the city of Bagram, leading to the seizure of the air base.
| Mission name | Hero | Mission goal | Mission feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| First went | "Rabbit" | You must make your way to the city of Gardez under the control of the Taliban and find Tariq, an elder who has valuable information about the location of key targets and enemy positions. | "Slow" shooting at the end of the mission |
| The capture of Bagram | "Rabbit" | The enemy is discovered, it remains to defeat him. To get started, you should deploy an operational headquarters at the former Soviet air base near Bagram. Together with the Neptune squad and Tarik militias, you must break the Taliban’s resistance and capture the control tower. | For the first time in the game, it is possible to control aircraft from the ground, given the opportunity to use Hellfire missiles, laser-guided bombs and much more. |
Day 1
2nd act: “Day 1”, tells about the main events of the operation. Six missions of different complexity will show all the features of the game. To successfully pass this act, you need to make a lot of effort and spend a lot of playing time.
| Mission name | Hero | Mission goal | Mission feature |
|---|---|---|---|

| Oh that dorothy | "Rabbit" | Your task is to climb to the snowy peaks of the Shahi Kot mountains, to destroy the enemies from the Taliban and Al Qaeda in close combat. In addition, on the way to the endpoint of your path, Dorothy, you need to destroy anti-aircraft guns. The Reaper 3-1, AS-130 fire support aircraft will help you in this task. | “Attack on the account” and suppression of enemy machine-gun points by fire |
| The belly of the beast | Adams | You and your battalion were dropped from heavy helicopters. You must make your way to height and destroy the enemy’s position. It all depends on you, you are the Rangers! | An unusually large amount of enemy manpower |
| Arrows | "Falcon" | You are the shooter of the Apache AH-64D helicopter, and you took off on a mission with a partner's helicopter, Strelka 1-1. | Information leak | "Rabbit" | In the southern part of Shahi Kot, al-Qaida and Taliban militants swallowed the bait and go right into your trap, where you lure them with the help of a competent retreat. | There is a lot of enemy manpower and for the first time in the game the use of an easel machine gun on a helicopter. |
Day 2
3rd act: “Day 2”, tells about the events of night and morning on the second day of the main events. Cruel and tragic actions unfold on the screen, as a result of which the main character of the game, “Rabbit,” perishes.
| Mission name | Hero | Mission goal | Mission feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neptune Networks | "Rabbit" | Two members of the Neptune squad remained on the mountain. You ignored the order to return to the base and, under cover of night, returned to Takur-Gar peak to save your people. | A lot of bloody events and dramatic actions, after which you are captured. |
| Rescue of rescuers | Adams | Three passes from here, the command lost contact with Neptune and the Wolves. Time is running out, and the only way out is to send a quick response detachment to business. You once again find yourself in the role of a specialist in the ranger unit Dante Adams, who is looking for the Neptune squad on Mount Takur-Gar | Using a machine gun in a helicopter. |
Ending
After completing the passage, you break into the room where you find the "Rabbit" and "Mom." In the future, you see the scene through the eyes of "Rabbit." Everything that happens on the screen is visible in fragments, since the "Rabbit" has lost a lot of blood and is constantly losing consciousness. You are taken out of the cave, they require evacuation, and it turns out that you have to wait another three minutes. "Rabbit" closes his eyes again. The next scene takes place inside a flying helicopter where special forces soldiers sit and the covered “Rabbit” lies.
