History
Jem County was founded on March 15, 1915 . He got his name nicknamed the state of Idaho: "Gem State" ( Eng. Gem state ). Trappers in 1818 , as well as Alexander Ross in 1824, were pioneers in the district. In 1862 , during the gold rush , prospectors and miners passed the lands of the district. [2]
Population
As of July 2008, the population of the district was 15 513 people. [3] Since 2003, the population has increased by 4.63%. [3] The following is the population dynamics of the county. [4] [5]
Geography
Bonneville County is located in the southwestern part of Idaho. The area of the district is 1,465 km² , of which 8 km² (0.56%) is occupied by water.
