Vicious Engine is a game engine , middleware software that combines the functionality of a graphics engine , a sound engine , a physical engine and a network code. Developed by the American company Vicious Cycle Software .

The release of the first version took place in January 2005 . SDK including source code included
There are versions of the engine for PCs running Microsoft Windows and the PlayStation 2 , PlayStation 3 (with the support of the PlayStation Network ), Xbox , Xbox 360 (with the support of the Xbox Live Arcade ), Nintendo GameCube , Wii (and the WiiWare service ) and PlayStation Portable (PSP and PSP Mini). The second iteration of Vicious Engine (V e2 ) was shown in March 2009 at the Game Developers Conference . A lot of improvements have been introduced, designed primarily for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles and the personal computer . Support for gaming consoles of the “past” generation - Wii, PSP and PlayStation 2 has also been preserved. [2] The first game in this version was Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard .
The engine is officially approved by Sony , Nintendo and Microsoft as a technological solution for game developers for the PlayStation Portable , Wii and Xbox 360 consoles [3] [1] [4]
