Formation Regiment

The 3rd Kornilov shock regiment was formed on August 27, 1919 in Kharkov on the basis of officer personnel with the participation of the training team (battalion in 4 companies) [1] of the Kornilov shock regiment and the 1st officer named after General Kornilov company [2] . He joined the 1st Infantry Division , from October 14, 1919 - into the Kornilov Division [3] .

Participation in battles, strength and personnel

Summer 1919 - 21 junior officer (training team of the 1st (Kornilovsky) strike regiment) of which: 14 lieutenants, 3 lieutenants and 4 lieutenants. 1st battalion - commander of the staff captain Startsev Viktor Alekseevich, 2nd battalion - commander of the lieutenant Franz Ignaty Ignatievich, 3rd battalion - commander of the captain captain Skudarev Vasily Alekseevich, machine gun company - commander the second lieutenant Malich Stepan Petrovich [1] . that period the White Guards advanced by the so-called column troops, consisting of scattered battalions of different regiments and artillery platoons. September 1919 - 1,900 bayonets with 60 machine guns (3 battalions , an officer company , a reconnaissance team and a communications squadron ).

On September 11, the regiment joined the Kornilov brigade ( 1st and 2nd regiments) and the Kornilov division further fought in full force [1] .

October 5, 1919 - 1279 bayonets with 17 machine guns. Often, the regiment was subordinate to the commander of the 1st or 2nd Kornilov regiments.

During the Orel-Kromsk operation, the regiment lost 646 personnel.

December 6, 1919 - the regiment almost completely died during battles with units of the Red Army in the forests north-east of Zmiyov (86 personnel remained).

In the Crimea in the spring of 1920, the composition of the regiment was replenished.

July 29, 1920 - in the battles near Kurkulak, the regiment lost 180 people, including 60 officers.

The end of August 1920 - after the Kakhov operation, 92 people remained in the regiment.

Evacuated from Crimea in November 1920 with units of the Russian Wrangel Army in Gallipoli [3]
