Imereti region

Imereti region is an administrative-territorial formation of the Russian Empire , which existed in 1811 - 1840 . It included 6 districts: Kutaysky, Vakinsky (now Vansky), Rachinsky, Sachkhersky, Chkhersky (Chkharsky) and Baghdatsky. The regional city is Kutaisi . Formed on the territory of the former Imereti kingdom , included in Russia. In 1840, the Imereti region became part of the Georgian-Imereti province .
