Description
MKR is designed for bullpup layout and lacks one of its main drawbacks: weapons intended for use by right-handed people cannot be effectively used by left-handed people and vice versa due to the proximity of the sleeve extractor to the shooter's face. In MKR, the release was made through a special channel in the butt behind the store. The cocking handle is located on top and is easily accessible on both sides.
The sector store has a half-ring shape. He, like the weapon case is made of plastic .
Automation is based on the removal of powder gases from the bore, locking is carried out by tilting the shutter down. Shooting is carried out with an open shutter.
Options
On the basis of MKR, a shortened barrel carbine, a light machine gun and a submachine gun with reduced dimensions, firing from a closed bolt and a magazine mounted on the side were developed.
After the adoption of the 5.56 × 45 mm single cartridge by the NATO bloc in 1979, the MKR variant was developed for it, however, it had the worst accuracy and the project was closed.
