Masters 1989 (also known as Benson and Hedges Masters 1989 - by the name of the sponsor) is a professional non-rated snooker tournament held from January 21 to 29, 1989 at Wembley Convention Center, London . The winner of the tournament was Stephen Hendry , who beat John Perroth in the final with a score of 9: 6. This was Hendry's first victory at the Masters; in addition, he first participated in this competition.
