Gagarin's square ( Karelian. Gagarinan lagevo , Finnish. Gagarinin aukio ) is an area in the central part of the city of Petrozavodsk at the connection of Lenin Avenue , Krasnoarmeyskaya Street and Shotman Street. The ensemble of residential buildings of the 1950s , the railway station building and the hotel building are located on the square.

On April 12, 1961, the Vostok-1 spacecraft was launched, and on April 13, the executive committee of the Petrozavodsk City Council decided to rename the area adjacent to the new station of the Petrozavodsk station to Y. Gagarin Square [1] .
In 1976, a post office machine opened in the communications department hall on Gagarin Square. Immediately installed pay phones for negotiations with subscribers of other cities of the USSR [2] .

- A stele with a watch (installed in June 2013, dismantled in February 2019).
