Galapagos fur seal [1] ( lat. Arctocephalus galapagoensis ) is a species of eared seals from the fur seal subfamily. Belongs to the genus of southern fur seals .

Content
DescriptionThe smallest of eared seals. Galapagos fur seal fur coat is gray-brown. The length of adult male seals reaches 150 cm, and weight 64 kg. Females are about 120 cm long, weigh about 28 kg.
SpreadThe Galapagos Fur Seal is endemic to the Galapagos Islands . Does not migrate , spends all his life near the islands.
LifestyleMore than 70% of the time spent on land. They feed mainly on numerous fish and cephalopod mollusks . Food is mined at night, at the surface of the ocean, rarely appear at a depth of over 150 m.
