Ayurveda is not only science, but also religion and philosophy. We use the word religion to denote beliefs and disciplines that promote such states of being in which the doors of perception are open to all aspects of life. In Ayurveda, all sides and stages of the life path are considered sacred. The word "philosophy" means love of truth, and truth in Ayurveda is Being, Pure Existence. Ayurveda is a science of Truth, of how it manifests itself in life. [9]
