Education
In 1977 she graduated from school number 1 in Chudovo with a gold medal and entered the Faculty of Journalism of Leningrad State University. A.A. Zhdanova .
After graduating from university in 1982-1986, she worked as a correspondent for the newspaper Leninsky Znamen in Tosno, Leningrad Region.
In 1988-1991, she studied in full-time postgraduate study and in 1991 she defended her thesis in Minsk on the topic “Broadcasting in the Economic Information System of a Large Industrial Center” [1] .
In 1999, she defended a dissertation at St. Petersburg State University "Public Relations in the System of Social Management" [2] . In 2000, she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Sociology, in 2002 she received the title of professor [3] .
Teaching activities
Since 1986, she worked as an assistant in the Department of Radio and Television of the Faculty of Journalism of Leningrad State University.
In 1991-1994 she worked as an assistant, senior lecturer, assistant professor of journalism at St. Petersburg State University.
In 1991-1993 - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, St. Petersburg State University . In 1995, Shishkina was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor .
From 1995 to 2010, she was elected dean of the Faculty of Journalism of St. Petersburg State University. She became the second [4] female dean in the history of the university.
In 1996, under the leadership of Shishkina, the department of public relations and advertising was opened, and a year later a new specialty 022000 - "Public Relations" was opened. She participated in the development of a new state standard in the specialty "Public Relations" in the working group of UMO. Since 2005, M. A. Shishkina headed the department of modern periodicals .
On June 29, 2009 at a meeting of the Academic Council of St. Petersburg State University, Marina Shishkina criticized the university leadership [5] . On March 5, 2010, she was dismissed from the post of dean of the Faculty of Journalism by order of the rector of St. Petersburg State University N.M. Kropachev for failure to fulfill duties, misuse of budget funds (in 2008 - a total of at least 11 million 529.7 thousand rubles), the provision of distorted budget reporting, violations of scholarship support and material support for students, violations of the Charter of St. Petersburg State University and the legislation of the Russian Federation [6] . Shortly before dismissal from the post of dean, by the order of Rosobrnadzor of February 12, 2010, Marina Anatolyevna was expelled from the dissertation council acting on the basis of St. Petersburg University. [7] On September 17, 2011, the city judicial collegium declared the dismissal unlawful [8] . Having examined the cassation appeal, the court recognized the dismissal legal [9] [10] .
In 2011, she worked as an adviser to the rector and headed the department at the North-West Academy of Public Administration .
In 2011, she worked as the director of the Institute of Political Journalism of the University of Professional Politics [11] .
Professional career
He is the author of more than 100 publications on broadcasting, advertising, and public relations, including scientific articles, teaching aids, and reference books. He is the author of the monograph Public Relations in the System of Social Management, co-author of the collective monograph Modern PR Market. In 1989, she became the author-compiler of the region’s first business directory “Business North-West”, the catalog “Video Business”.
In 2001-2005 - President of the Russian Association for Public Relations (RASO) ; currently - member of the Higher Expert Council of RASO.
He is a member of the editorial board of the journal “ Bulletin of St. Petersburg State University ” of the series “Philology, Oriental Studies, Journalism” (St. Petersburg State University) and the journal “Nevsky Observer” (St. Petersburg State University); Editor-in-chief of the magazines PR-Dialogue and Mass Media XXI Century (1998-2005). He is actively involved in the annual scientific and practical conference of the Faculty of Journalism of St. Petersburg State University, conferences at Moscow State University, MGIMO, the University of Telecommunications, and foreign universities. As president, RASO participated in organizing and conducting conferences (“Business reputation and social responsibility of business”, “PR days” in Kazan, Yaroslavl, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod and other cities).
June 4, 2011 was elected Secretary of the Board of the Union of Journalists of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region [12] . After the election of the new leadership of the Union of Journalists, she headed the educational programs of the “Profi-Center” SZ [13] .
He takes part in professional PR-activities, is a member of the board of the Union of Journalists of St. Petersburg, a member of the artistic council of the SEC “Petersburg”. Chairman of the jury of regional competitions "Proba", "White Wing". Member of the Council of Media Associations (SAMI). Vice President of the Academy of Journalism of St. Petersburg.
Political career
In October 2011, she became a candidate for deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg from 52 territories of the Primorsky district according to the lists of the Just Russia party. On December 4, 2011, following the results of the elections to the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg , she was elected as a deputy.
On March 31, 2017, Marina Shishkina was elected the new chairman of the regional branch at the reporting and re-election conference of the Fair Russia party in St. Petersburg.
Family
The first marriage was married to a lawyer Andrei Shishkin, now director of the House of Radio Broadcasting Company "Petersburg" [14] [15] . The second husband is Sergey Petrov , former dean of the Faculty of Medicine of St. Petersburg State University [16] . Has a daughter, a son and 2 granddaughters.
Rewards
- In 2004, M. A. Shishkina was awarded the medal "In memory of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg."
