Hand (Marvel Comics)

The hand has five fingers, each of which can exist independently of the rest. In this they differ little from the five islands that form Japan . However, when the five fingers join together for a single purpose ... the hand becomes an object of decisive power!

The hand first appeared on the pages of the Daredevil volume 1 # 168 comic (January 1981) and was created by artist and writer Frank Miller . When Frank Miller created the Hand, it was noted that its color is mostly black, with small inclusions of red. Ultimately, red became the official clothing of the Hand due to early errors.

Start

The history of the order began 800 years ago, in feudal Japan . Seeking freedom from the class system, several citizens fled to the mountainous regions of Iga and Koga. There, they developed ninjutsu , secret martial arts , the inspiration of which is possibly the book of Sun Tzu, The Art of War . Over the centuries, they developed their art in isolated camps. Training and practice began at birth, and children's games included training in gun ownership, hand-to-hand combat, and camouflage art. The ninjas were experts in espionage and assassination, offering their services to the samurai and those who could afford it.

They were the best and most dangerous warriors on Earth, and they began to be feared everywhere in Japan. Rumors gave rise to the myth that the ninjas were offspring of Tengu , and that the blessing given by these creatures gave the soldiers extraordinary abilities. These myths probably spread by themselves. However, it turned out that the ancient ninja clan, known as the Serpent Source, does indeed have its lineage from these demons.

In 1588, Kagenobu Yoshioka became the Sensei of the Ishiyama Sword School, located in the Japanese village of Kyushu. Faced with opposition from a government spoiled by foreign influence, Yoshioka transformed the school into a training institution for samurai, whose goal was to keep power in the hands of the Japanese. Thus, the Hand was born. Just as the hand has five fingers, the leadership of the Order of the Hand had five leaders, each of whom controlled one of the five islands of Japan.

After the assassination of Yoshioka by the rebels, the Serpent Spring took control of the Hand and corrupted it, using the cult of the demon known as the Beast, transferring with it its knowledge of dark magic. One of the spells allows you to bring the lifeless body of a ninja back to life with the help of a demon. Unlike other ninja organizations, the “new” Hand acted as mercenaries and itself wished to increase its power. The organization sought dominance over others, working with its allies, seeking to eliminate its enemies.

Current status

After the end of World War II , several of the politically oriented members of Ruka formed HYDRA as an alliance of Japanese nationalists preparing to overthrow the Japanese government, assassinate the prime minister, and establish a right-wing anti-communist government that would rearm Japan. Baron Strucker, joining HYDRA, took control of her from her Japanese founders and changed her goals to seize world domination. Ruka and HYDRA however continued to collaborate on numerous terrorist attacks and criminal operations over the years.

The Order continues to exist in the 21st century, seeking power in its various forms, continuing to use its deadly skills and harsh methods. The most dangerous opponent of the Hand is Integrity, a group of soldiers led by Stick , the blind martial artist and former mentor Matthew Murdoch, who became a crime fighter under the name of Daredevil . His other student, Electra Nachios , was also associated with Ruka. She infiltrated the organization, deciding to leave Stick. But the ninja tricked her into killing one of her former Sensei. Electra served Ruka for a while. When they began to corrupt her soul, she fled from Japan back to America.

Ultimately, Ruka sought to destroy Stick and his warriors. Stick managed to survive the attempted murder by the four Warriors of the Hand. Then he called the other members of his organization to New York . With her help, he defeated Kirigi, the most dangerous Hand warrior of all time. After that, the organization was attacked by Stick and his warriors, to which Daredevil and Black Widow were added. The hand almost defeated them when Stick and Shaft turned to an ancient technique that took away the power of life from all ninjas. Technology led to the explosion of Stick and his comrade as a result of excess energy absorbed. The hand considered the death of the leader of their enemies a victory and shifted his attention to other plans.

Years later, Ruka turned her attention to Integrity again, trying to prevent her members from locating the newborn baby, who was the reincarnation of Stick's soul. The hand killed many of Stick's students. The rest went to New York, seeking the help of Daredevil. Having agreed, he went with them to Japan. There they managed to maintain the reincarnated spirit of their teacher.

Elektra led the Hand for some time, but was killed. One faction, led by Lord Hiroshi and Lady Mechena, sought to make Daredevil their new leader, but he refused them. They also incited Ambal to return to New York, in exchange for offering him leadership. However, negotiations were interrupted by Daredevil, who accepted their offer, provided that Ruka should not conduct business with Ambal or Lady Mechena. The three remaining ninja lords accepted this arrangement. ^[one]

• In the animated series Iron Man, in the episode "Hands of Mandarin", the media mistakenly take Mandarin 's minions for members of the Hand.
• The hand appears in the second season of the daredevil series ^[2] , part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe .
• The Hand is the main adversary of Iron Fist and Defenders in the series Iron Fist and Defenders in the Marvel Cinematic Universe .

Cinema

• In the film " Electra ", Hand acts as a criminal organization. It included Kirigi, Tattu, Typhus , Stone and Kinkou. Master Roshi leads the Hand. Members of the organization wear black attire.

Clan Foot ( English Foot - foot) or Clan Foot from the Ninja Turtles comics are a parody of Clan Hands. And turtles are the result of the same accident that made Daredevil blind.
