History
Modus made its first debut at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show , and was initially offered as an alternative when buying a Renault Clio or even Twingo , as well as a competitor to the Nissan Micra and Nissan Note . Car production started in Europe in September 2004.
It appeared on the Russian market at the end of 2005, but ceased to be sold by 2010, as it could not find demand due to overpriced.
2007 Restyling and Grand Modus
"Modus Phase II" was launched in Europe in February 2008. Bumpers on all trim levels, cosmetic changes to the grille, revised side moldings and an updated interior trim on all trim levels have changed.
Also there was a new modification of Grand Modus , which has a large length and wheelbase. In 2009, Grand Modus went through the same restyling.
After 2009
Modus and Grand Modus continued to be produced until mid-2012, remaining the only cars that used the old corporate style of the company in 2001-2009 (despite restyling in 2009), after which a year later they were replaced with a Captur crossover based on the fourth-generation Clio hatchback.
