At the same time, the official holiday - the Day of the investigative officer of the Russian Federation - is celebrated annually on July 25th. This is a professional holiday for employees and employees of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, employees and employees of investigative departments of the Ministry of the Interior, the Federal Security Service.
The day of the employee of the investigative bodies of the Russian Federation is celebrated since 2014, in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of August 27, 2013 No. 741 “On the bottom of the employee of the investigative bodies of the Russian Federation”.

History and celebration
On April 6, 1963, the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics passed by decree the right to conduct a preliminary investigation to the Ministry of Public Order Protection of the USSR (later the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs ). In essence, the introduction of this Decree meant the beginning of the official activities of the investigative apparatus of the internal affairs bodies.
After the collapse of the USSR, the “Day of Investigator” continues to be celebrated in the Russian Federation.
“Day of the employee of the investigating authorities” has no official status and is not a non-working day. However, despite this, officials often congratulate the employees of the investigating authorities on the birthday of this structure. For example, in 2009, representatives of the “ party of power ” on their website made a statement dedicated to this date. In particular, it stated:
... United Russia heartily congratulates the employees of the investigating authorities on their professional holiday! Your job has a higher risk. To become an investigator, you need to have a rare volitional qualities. We appreciate you for the exemplary performance of official duties, high professionalism. We wish you good health, well-being and happiness! [2]
Also, the police department has a tradition of awarding and rewarding the most distinguished investigators on this day [3] .
