Biography
Gaetano was born in San Matteo della Decima of the commune of San Giovanni in Persicheto near Bologna in a family of artists. Brother - artist Ubaldo Gandolfi . He studied at the Academy of Clementine de Bologna, where his teachers were Felice Torelli and Ercoli Lelli . Being at the Academy received several awards for drawing and sculpture. A strong influence on the artist's work had Giovanni Battista Tiepolo . Died in Bologna.
