Biography

She was born in the village of Kolodeznaya, Lipetsk region , in 1956-1960 she studied at the Leningrad Art and Pedagogical College. Since 1960 she taught at the school of the village of Ladva, Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic [1] , from 1964 to the present she lives in Petrozavodsk .

In the graph, T. G. Yufa is known primarily for her works on the plots of the Kalevala epic. Among the works of the first years - “Suyoyatar” (1962), “Loukhi and daughter”, “Bride Pohjela”, “Aino” (1963), “Runepers” (1966) and others. The compositions are executed in white and black, ocher is occasionally introduced (“Tuonela Swan”, 1965; “Maryatta”, 1968; “Bride's Crying”, 1973; “Behind the Death Swan”, 1974).

Over time, the color became more diverse, the style became more refined - “Cantelist” (1977), “Composition” (1984), “Bride” (1982), “Pohjela” (1984), “Aino” (1987).

She created easel compositions based on “The Words about Igor’s Regiment” (triptych, 1966), performed illustrations for editions of the Kalevala epic (1966, 1970 and 2000), for “The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Knights ” (1970, 1978), to the tales of Andersen , Topelius , the brothers Grimm , Perrault and other authors. T. G. Yufa is the author of bookplates [2] .

She worked as a stage designer at the National Theater of the Republic of Karelia , the Karelian Puppet Theater , designed performances based on the works of Topelius , Ibsen and Lindgren .

The largest public collection of works is in the Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Karelia in Petrozavodsk. The works of T. G. Yufa are stored in the National Museum of the Republic of Karelia , in the museums of Arkhangelsk and Syktyvkar .
