He became a referee in 2001, but appeared in a professional tour only in 2005. He was entrusted to judge the qualifying match between David Roh and Patrick Wallace . In 2008, Moore was already working at the World Championships , where he judged, in particular, the match Steve Davis - Stuart Bingham . At the Shanghai Masters 2009, he judged his first rating semi-final.
At the Welsh Open 2010, Brendan Moore was given the right to judge the final match. In the same year, Moore conducted the final of the second most important snooker tournament, the UK Championship . In 2012, he judged the final of the Masters tournament for the first time in his career.
