Facts
- The picture was able to match the fees in the United States only with its own budget, while at the box office in general it failed miserably.
- The scene of Manson’s video, when a player ( Chris Elliott ) approaches him and Ishmael in the bar and offers Manson a million dollars for the opportunity to sleep with Burg, is an allusion to the 1993 film “ Obscene Proposal ”, where Woody Harrelson also starred.
- Although Roy Manson is Ishmael Burgh's senior comrade in the film, Woody Harrelson himself is almost 11 years younger than Randy Quaid: Quaid is the age of Bill Murray (their age difference is only 10 days).
- Famous professional bowling players Mark Roth , Randy Pedersen (they are beaten by Munson on the way to the finals) and some others appear in episodic roles in the film.
- In the final of the film, the hero of Bill Murray makes three strikes in a row. There was no installation, the actor actually made three straight strikes from the first take.
- Roy Manson's car is the Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible 1972.
Notes
- ↑ Translated from English kingpin means both “the central bowling pin” (first or fifth), and the main organizer of something, “ringleader” (see Dictionary.com ).
